Just wanted to update you all that I started my first bartending jobs this week. Yes, I did say jobS. I am bartending at the Asiatique Bistro in West Chester, (which is an amazing place with awesome Southeast Asian cuisine) and Mixx Ultra Lounge on Main Street in downtown Cincinnati. I just wanted to let you know that completing your program was such a phenomenal experience, and I am so happy I invested the time and the money. It was beyond worth it!
I am grateful to all of you for the experience. Hopefully I will see you guys around.
All the best,
LaQuita Miller
P.S. Check out the Asiatique Bistro website at www.asiatiquebistro.com
It is a truly dynamic place to work and to eat!

I graduated from the CBS program in March, and took off for New Zealand not long after to live and work for a year.
Just snagged my first bartending gig in Wellington, the capital city, at one of the most popular bars in town! Been slinging drinks there for 2 weeks now and love it.
Though I work late late nights (til 7 or 8 AM most shifts) and the crowd can get kinda wild, it's a heckuva lotta fun.
Proof you can really take your skills from school anywhere!
Thanks for everything :)

I've been bartending at the Element in Sharonville now for about a month and a half part time. So far I've been told by a bride that I make the best Appletini ever (which prompted me to make hundreds of them that night. The last one I made for the bride after the bar closed, I personally delivered to her! I'm a ham!), and I've been told by countless people that I am a very good bartender. In fact, while chilling a glass for a martini, my boss came behind the bar and asked about the martini glass with ice in it on the spill mat. I told him I was chilling it for a martini. His reply (and this is so a compliment to you guys) was: "You are a real f***ing bartender!"
Just wanted to give you an update.
Thanks,

Just wanted to send you a quick email and tell you that a bartending job was offered to me this morning at my interview!!!!
I have to put in my 2 weeks at my current part time job and I start next week!
I believe that they will be looking for 1 or 2 other people very, very, very soon and I already mentioned the school after the interview.
I will make sure to keep you up to date on how the job goes.
They have me working Wednesday-Saturday nights and events on Mondays, which is a cash bar.
Thanks for all the career placement help, the encouragement made it happen!

When I started, I didn't have any bartending skills or any knowledge of different alcohols. I'm also 56 years old and thought I was too old to attend the school or become a bartender. It was tough at times, but the instructors never gave up on me! Now I work private parties, making over $30 an hour! I would recommend the school to anyone.

Just wanted to let you know that I love my job and have really become liked and welcomed there. The females already want me to do shirtless bartending, haha. I'm fulltime now 5 days a week. The owner fired one of the other bartenders and gave me all his shifts. In my 3 nights I have brought in with my hourly around $300.00! I'm excited about that. I now have a key to the bar and do all the duties by myself. The other bartenders actually come to me for advice because I learned everything correctly and I pass on all my knowledge to them. Jokingly they call me the snob who went to school, haha. I can spot violations that the others do and everything and I make sure I do everything precise from my pouring to my bar setup and breakdown. Your school was the best investment I ever made. Just wanted to say thanks again. I've actually started concocting my own stuff and putting a spin on others and the customers love it!

I just wanted to let you know that I moved to South Carolina about 3 weeks ago and got hired as a bartender at a club last week. The bar owner was so impressed with my bartending skills that I acquired at the Cincinnati Bartending School that he promoted me to bar manager-in-training! He said he wants to have me fully trained to manage the bar within the next week or two! So glad I attended the school!
Thanks for everything,

For me this was new because I have worked in the restaurant industry for years but never worked behind a bar before. The classes and teachers were awesome at making me feel comfortable in the environment and preparing me for real world situations. I would recommend this school to anyone interested in becoming a bartender.
Thanks again,
Jordan Parks |
